Christos K. Papadopoulos Head of Information and Telecommunications Technology Department in the Port of Thessaloniki, Greece, since 2011. He started as a software engineer, continued as a researcher with a strong academic background, has chosen the maritime sector and he is currently supervising demanding ICT projects. Computer and innovation enthusiast. He is in the Maritime Sector since 2002 and has participated in many European projects in the last 20 years. Security officer in the Port of Thessaloniki, ISO 27001 IRCA Lead Auditor, and member of the Technical Chamber of Greece. Holds a Computer’s Engineering degree from the University of Patras (1993), a DEA (1995) and a PhD (1999) from Universite de Technologie de Compiegne, France.
