Rick Cutter has more than 30 years’ experience in project management, software development, information technology, and application implementation with firms such as Computer Science Corporation (CSC), Cambar Software, Systems and Computer Technology (SCT) and Indus International, Inc. He served a tenure with SCT Utilities where in addition to his on-premise utility software experience, he also managed the first Cloud SaaS CIS model for the utility industry. This business model was a variable price model based on consumption service fees. The business focused on the emerging deregulated energy markets in the late 1990’s. In those early days, the model was referred to as Application Service Providers (ASP), the pre-cursor to Software as a Service. Rick is also the founder of Cloud for Utilities. Their event the Digital + Cloud Summit has quickly become the leading education event that is focused on all forms of cloud computing for the utility industry. As the Vice President over E Source’s software implementation leadership practice, Rick oversees the development and execution of the consulting staff as well as E Source’s PMO and project tools. In addition, Rick engages with E Sources clients in a consulting capacity assisting with implementation strategy, SOW development and negotiations, and Project Quality Readiness engagements. Rick works with each of E Source’s software implementation clients to ensure services are delivered to support a successful project.
