Head, Security Center of Excellence and Head, IBM Ventures, Israel
Prof. Yaron Wolfsthal is the founder and head of IBM's Security Center of Excellence in Beer Sheva, where his research team is developing cutting-edge technologies and solutions for advanced cyber threats. In addition to his R&D leadership mission, Prof. Wolfsthal is the head of IBM Ventures Hub in Israel, and focuses on IBM's strategic investments in young Israeli security and AI companies. Prof. Wolfsthal was recognized by the "Best of IBM" Award, granted annually by IBM's CEO to a few selected individuals. He has a major role in setting IBM's security research strategy and accelerating the delivery of security innovation into IBM's product portfolio, and holds BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees in Computer Science as well as an MBA degree, all from the Technion - Israel's Institute of Technology.
