Mark is currently, President, CEO, and Board Director of Thetaray, a VC-backed, startup financial security company. In 2013 he as recruited to partner with the two founders, Amir Averbuch, professor of computer science at Tel Aviv University and Ronald Coifman, professor of mathematics at Yale University. ThetaRay has won numerous awards from industry leading publications. Mark was recognized by Mirror Review as the 30 most inspiring business leaders.
Prior to ThetaRay, Mark served as Acting CEO for NASDQ-traded, NICE Cyber & Intelligence Solutions, a homeland security solutions company serving governments, law enforcement agencies, security and intelligence agencies.
Earlier (2002 to 2010) Mark was Group President, CEO, and Board Director for SkyVision Global Networks, a PE-backed global telecom company providing IP connectivity via satellite and fiber to ISPs, Telcos, MNOs, NGOs, enterprises, government entities in emerging market countries.
Mark’s earlier career includes senior leadership roles with Deltathree Inc., Netvision LTD and Widecom LTD. While serving in the Israeli Defense Forces, Mark served as a Senior System Analyst & Head of Technology where he received the Army’s Top Military Award for Technological Achievements.
Mark serves on numerous external and industry Boards. He is currently Chairman of the Public Board for Cyber for the Israeli Export & International Cooperation Institute (IEICI), Member of the Technology Board of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, Board Member of the Israeli American Chamber of Commerce.
Mark is a sought after speaker and routinely speaks at leading conferences. He recently spoke at the Jerusalem Post- Khaleej Times Global Investment Forum in Dubai, OurCrowd Global Investor Summit, RSA, and CyberWeek.
Mark studied Mathematics and Computer Science and is a Certified Electronics Engineer with Honors through the Ort College at the Hebrew University. He also studied Senior Business Management at Tel Aviv University. He completed M&A and Strategic Transactions at the London Business School, completed a Management Program for Emerging Companies through M.I.T & TIM, and completed YPO-WPO Presidents’ Seminar, Executive Management at Harvard Business School.
