Merav Kenan is a B2B expert, a businesswoman and the CEO of the Israeli High-Tech Association in the Manufacturers Association of Israel. The Manufacturers Association is the umbrella association for all branches of the Industry and includes the association: High-Tech, Textile, Pharmaceuticals, Food, Metal and consumer and construction products. There are more than 1500 organization and Industrial plants who benefit from the services of 100 Professional managers in the industry who provide a wide range of support and services on both national level and day to day factory level.
The High-Tech association represents more than 200 companies in the fields of Robotics, Software, Electronics, Optronics, Semi-conductors, Medical equipment, Homeland security and more that actively take part in the activity. Among the companies we represent are Intel, Philips, Applied Materials, Orbotec, Flextronics and others.
Our focus as the High-Tech Association is to continue the growth of the Israeli industry so that it will grow from Start-Up Nation to Scale-Up Nation. The association is active in the following areas: promoting the economic growth of High-Tech industry; representing the industry to the government, Knesset and government authorities, advocating policies favorable to the industry and removal of obstacles that impede its progress.
We are responsible for promoting the voice of the Industry to the government and local authorities such as: preparation for the changes in global taxation, increasing government investment in innovation, promoting technological education, Diversifying the High-Tech community so that it will include women, Arabs and ultra-orthodox, Facilitation budget for new industries such as Quantum computing, Optronics, personalized medicine and promoting industry 4.0 solutions for building the digital enterprise.
