Reut Tsarfaty is Associate Professor at Bar-llan University and a Research Scientist at AI2. She is internationally renowned for her work on NLP for morphologically rich languages, and in particular for Semitic languages such as Hebrew and Arabic. She has contributed to fundamental tasks as segmentation, tagging, parsing, NER, sentiment analysis etc. Applications she has worked on include (but are not limited to) natural language programming, natural language navigation, the analysis and grounding of abstraction, the recovery of implicit (missing) elements in texts, and many more. Reut's research is funded by prestigious grants and awards by the European Research Council (ERC-StG #677352) the Israeli Science Foundation (ISF #1739/26), the Ministry of Science and Technology, and multiple Google Faculty Awards.
