Dave Ruedger is the VP, IT & Security and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Sunrun, the largest solar installer in the United States. Sunrun also provides grid services integration as a Distributed Energy Resource for homes with battery storage, which helped the state of California avoid extensive power outages during a record heatwave in 2022. Dave holds CISSP and CRISC certifications and has over 25 years of experience developing and managing security programs for organizations as diverse as pre-IPO startups to large Fortune 500 enterprises. Prior to Sunrun, Dave was the CISO for Invitae, a leader in oncology focused genetic testing, and Risk Management Solutions (RMS), a company that provides catastrophic risk models and analytics to the insurance industry. Prior to that Dave was CTO of his own company that provided a platform for secure customer data acquistion and marketing data analytics for large enterprises like HP, Toshiba, Orbitz and Equifax, among others.
