Cybertech invites you to join us at the ¨Tech against Terrorism¨ special session, hosted in collaboration with the U.N.
This special event will be led by David Scharia from the UN Counter-Terrorism Executive Directorate. The session will address the exploitation of the internet by terrorists and the UN initiative to support tech companies through practical capacity building and knowledge sharing, in order to improve industry-led self-regulation that will ultimately, prevent the malicious use of the internet to promote and commit terrorism.
"Tech Against Terrorism" initiative, launched by the United Nations Counter-terrorism Executive Directorate together in partnership with the ICT4Peace Foundation, aims to reach out to the private ICT sector worldwide and works with large companies such as the founders of the Global Internet to Counter-Terrorism (GIFCT, Facebook, Google, Microsoft and Twitter), as well as with small start-ups and large companies. To build a strong bridge between the public and private sectors, we will seek to maximize the benefits of our current initiatives.
The event will be held on 15:15-16:45
