Dr. Kfir Luzzatto is the President of The Luzzatto Group and a fourth-generation intellectual property professional. The firm he leads was founded by his great-grandfather in Milan in 1869 and relocated to Israel more than 50 years ago. Dr. Luzzatto has extensive experience in patent drafting and prosecution across a wide range of technologies and today focuses primarily on IP litigation and the management of complex, high-value IP portfolios. His multidisciplinary work spans pharmaceuticals and life sciences, as well as software and defense, giving him a litigation-driven perspective on building strong, enforceable IP strategies for startups and multinational companies alike. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and is well known for his involvement in landmark litigation concerning major products such as PROZAC and VIAGRA, alongside significant projects in life sciences, defense, and software. Dr. Luzzatto is a recipient of the Landau Award for Research, an inventor on patented technologies, and the author of numerous publications on intellectual property. His book Fun with Patents was originally published in 2016 and released in a new edition in 2025.
