Ruth Shoham is the CEO of the Davidson Institute of Science Education, with broad experience in education, technology, and public leadership. A Colonel (res.) in the IDF, she served in senior roles in the elite Unit 8200. She later held leadership positions in the private and public sectors, including at IBM Israel, Israel’s National Cyber Directorate, and Startup Nation Central. Prior to her current role in September 2024, she served as CEO of the Open University of Israel, leading a major post-COVID transformation. Ruth holds degrees in Mathematics and Operational Research from Tel Aviv University and serves on the Board of Advisors of CyberproAI and the Executive Board of the 8200 Alumni Association, while mentoring women at key career stages.
