Dr. Yaniv Harel is a cyber leader and expert. He was the General Manager of the Cyber Solutions Group at Dell EMC.
Under his leadership, the Cyber Solutions Group won, designed, and built significant CERTs and other cyber projects.
Subsequently, he served as SVP of Cyber Defense at Sygnia, a Team8 and Temasek company. Yaniv is an expert in
cyber defense for large organizations, as well as at the national level, with years of experience in governmental roles.
Yaniv led several technology divisions within the IDF. He was awarded the Israel Presidential Medal for Security in
2002.
In his academic capacity, Dr. Harel is the Chief Strategy Officer of the Blavatnik Cyber Center – ICRC at Tel Aviv
University. He leads and is involved in research projects, with recent achievements and publications including anti-
phishing concepts, cyber for OT energy systems, AI cybersecurity, cyber awareness, and more.
He assists start-ups and contributes to several initiatives in cyber and deep technology. In parallel, he works as an
independent consultant to CISOs, Boards of Directors, and global companies.
